(More customer reviews)I have six indoor/outdoor cats. I am very satisfied with this flap. In fact, this is my second one. The "mechanism" on the old one snapped when my fat-cat came shooting through the door in a panic. It is very versatile. It can be open for both entering and exiting, or either entering or exiting only. I have successfully used it all three ways. I like the hard plastic flap, as opposed to the soft/flexible flap. I think it is a little more energy efficient, as much as a pet door can be.
