I love the fact that it is natural, biodegradeable and all around a healthier option for cats and humans alike. However, it tracks absolutely everywhere, thus my 2 star rating. It is also very, very dusty. One of my cats is jet black and looked like a ghost after using the box. It's too lightweight, fluffy is a good description, and with the help of static electricity is tracked to every square inch of the house. I found it on the bedspread on the second floor of my house! The dust factor got to be so bad that I resorted to wearing a surgical mask to scoop and change the litter boxes, my nose would 'stuff up' after every scooping. Finally a friendturned me on to a better pine cat litter called FELINE FRESH.It's made by a company called PLANET WISE PRODUCTS. It is also eco-friendly, biodegradeable, clumps extremely well, fabulous odor control and is compostable, (solids removed). The clumps are even flushable. The texture is somewhat coarser so the litter stays in the box. No static problem either. I have been using it for about six weeks now and have not noticed it tracked anywhere in the house. Unfortunately it is not yet available at Amazon.com. Check the PLANET WISE PRODUCTS website for purchase info. It is also available at smaller family-owned pet stores that sell bedding for other types of animals...horses, rabbits, ferrets, etc... It's cheaper too. FELINE FRESH is available in a 17lb bag for around the same price as the 10lb box of Feline Pine. UPDATE:(Aug, 26, 2010) FELINE FRESH is now available to purchase at Amazon.com...YEAH!!!
