(More customer reviews)I am retired and have 2 young cats, a male and a female. I thought this would be great to get rid of using litter. I bought this as well as the main set-up, so I had the base and 5 trays all together. It went pretty well until the final insert, still putting litter in the narrow tray. The male would occasionally poop on the floor, but every time I caught them using the trays they would get a treat so they liked that. However, the male would put one paw in the tray while peeing and get pee on his foot. In order to help out, I drilled a few small holes in one end so that it would drain out. Still, it was working fairly well. Then I took a 5 day vacation with my sons family, and left the cats at my sons house for friends of his to take care of. I left a litter box there, because they only stopped by once a day to take care of them. Once I got home, the cats let me know they weren't going to put up with the toilet seat anymore. The male pooped on the floor and the female started pooping and peeing on one of my couches. The cats won. Litter box it is. In my opinion, this will only work if you have 1 cat and never go anywhere. You have to be there to keep it clean at all times or they won't use it, and they still prefer the litterbox. And they also knocked the whole thing over a couple of times.
