(More customer reviews)I've owned this litter box for two weeks - I'm throwing it in the trash the minute a replacement box arrives.
First things first, they sent the wrong box (I ordered the one with the split top, they sent this one), but they immediately refunded the difference, so I'm not taking that into consideration for this review.It's just worth noting that the thing was doomed from the beginning.
The swing door came with a sticker on it with the kind of backing that just won't peel off, wouldn't come off with rubbing alcohol or nail polish remover or Goo Gone.So the surface of the swing door was covered with sticker residue that stuck to my poor cat's paws and face.So I took it off and threw it away.Great feature.
The lid doesn't snap on securely in spite of the fact that it has a handle on the lid.So for god's sake, don't try to lift it by the handle or the whole thing will fall apart.
The floor of the box is ridged and has furrows and bumps.WHY WHY WHY?It's like this box was designed by someone who has never owned a cat.Clumping litter soaks with urine and gets caught in the furrows and the little ravines.It's vile and horrible and impossible.
I ordered this box because, with super-saver shipping, it was much cheaper than the Tidy Cats hooded box.I had that box before and that's the one I'm ordering to replace the Iris box.
Seriously, if you want a hooded box, save yourself some grief and order the Tidy Cats hooded box.It's much, much better than this stupid, horribly designed piece of garbage.
